Your Privacy Choices

As described in our Privacy Policy, we collect personal information from your interactions with us and our website, including through cookies and similar technologies. We may also share this personal information with third parties, including advertising partners. We do this in order to show you ads on other websites that are more relevant to your interests and for other reasons outlined in our privacy policy.

Sharing of personal information for targeted advertising based on your interaction on different websites may be considered "sales", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities. If you would like to exercise this opt-out right, please follow the instructions below.

If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, depending on where you are, we will treat this as a request to opt-out of activity that may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or other uses that may be considered targeted advertising for the device and browser you used to visit our website.

The no-lawyer version of what happens to your data here

The switch above is the legal control. Here is what it actually controls. PourPackage is a Shopify store, and we hold exactly the data a store needs to ship cans: your email, the address on the label, what you ordered (so replacements do not require a deposition), and the yes-I-am-21 answer from the gate.

That is the inventory. No ad pixels are installed on this site right now, nobody is buying our customer list because it is not for sale, and the "sharing" the policy talks about is the Shopify machinery that runs the checkout, screens fraud, and prints shipping labels.

Cookies, itemized

The cart cookie keeps your cans in the cart between pages. The age-gate cookie remembers you already flashed your metaphorical ID so the site stops asking.

Shopify's analytics cookie tells us, in aggregate, which pages people read and where they bail — that is how we found out everyone reads the FAQ and nobody reads the shipping policy, which changed how we write both.

The checkout's security cookies exist to tell humans from bots testing stolen cards. None of these follow you around the internet wearing our logo.

What the toggle does when you flip it

Shopify marks your browser as opted out, and anything that state privacy law could call a "sale" or "targeted advertising" is switched off for you — today and if we ever bolt on marketing tools later.

Since we run no ad tech now, flipping it changes little day to day, but the preference is stored and honored going forward, which is the point. Prefer email?

Hit the contact page with the email on your orders and the words "opt me out"; a human confirms it, not an autoresponder.

The rest of your rights

State depending, you can ask what we have on you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it — we will keep the records tax law forces us to keep and torch the rest.

All of it goes through contact, costs nothing, and requires no notarized anything. The formal text lives in the privacy policy. This page is the translation; the switch up top is the shortcut.

The questions people actually ask about this switch

Will opting out break my orders? Not even slightly. Checkout, shipping, replacements, Pack Deals math — all untouched. The switch only governs advertising-flavored data sharing, and a store still needs your address to mail you cans; no toggle changes that physics.

One flip or one per device? Per device — the flag lives in each browser. If that sounds tedious, skip it: email the contact page once with the address on your orders and we will register the opt-out against the account itself, which follows you everywhere that email does.

Why does a pixel-free store need an opt-out switch at all? Because state privacy law says the mechanism must exist whether or not anything is currently flowing through it, and because collecting your preference now beats chasing it later if we ever do add marketing tools. Consider it a fire extinguisher: present, inspected, hopefully bored.

Is the age gate secretly profiling me? The gate stores one thing: a yes-you-answered flag in your own browser so it stops asking. No birthday, no name, nothing sent anywhere. The real age check happens at your door, where a carrier compares an actual adult signature against an actual ID — analog, unfakeable by cookie.

Still curious? The privacy policy is the legally binding text, the FAQ handles the shipping-and-dosing canon, and the contact page reaches a human for everything in between. We answer privacy mail with the same speed as where-is-my-box mail, which is to say fast — it is all the same inbox and the same person.
